I'm Karen, a Colombian visual artist and filmmaker based in Melbourne.

My journey began with a degree in Film and TV from the National University of Colombia, where I built my foundation in classical storytelling. Today, I see my work as an evolution of that practice—a way of telling stories without words.

My process is artisanal, deeply personal, and rooted in connection. I am drawn to the authentic, the unscripted, and the beautifully imperfect. I believe the most powerful images come from a space of trust and vulnerability, where a session becomes less of a photoshoot and more of a transformative experience for both of us.

Whether capturing movement, traveling to new landscapes, or exploring an intimate personal story, my goal remains the same: to craft lasting images that feel like a memory, a poem—a piece of a soul made visible.
